We entered the US market in December 2007 with our first purchase of a 135,000 sq ft shopping center in Newport News, Virginia. This is a strategically located center at the heart of the 4.4m sq ft Patrick Henry Trade Area, a very rare ‘Bond style’ Master lease to Best Buy.


We subsequently built a portfolio of bank ground leases in Illinois and Virginia. Concentrating on the strongest names in the US banking market, we sought value in banks at the height of the banking crisis.

Big Box Retail, Supermarket and Grocery Stores are at the heart of future strategy. Working with trusted development partners, we are financing supermarket developments in Chicago and will retain the investments within our portfolio. Significant cash resources are available.

Emma joined the IM Properties finance team in March 2010 having qualified with International Motors, where she had spent 3 years as an assistant accountant. In her current role, Emma is responsible for the accounting of our operations in the USA as well as for our new residential development venture, Spitfire Properties LLP.
